Here in NJ we have been facing temperatures between 95-98 since Saturday. Summer is definitely here in full force and we are doing our best to keep cool. To do so we set up the Makri Water Safari Theme Park.

Why Isaiah was wearing pink floaties, I do not know. Jocelyn enjoyed catching water from the fountain in her mouth.

Ice pops were also a help in cooling off.

The kids have been having a great time.

Our good friends, the Barones, are with us again and Natalie and Natalia enjoyed a good old time of “Ring Around the Rosy.”

Then after all the playing it was time for lunch!

Peanut Butter and Fluff.

Friday we celebrated the last of the birthdays for a while. Jocelyn turned 4 years old and we had a great day. It was also my last day of teaching for the summer. As we do for all the birthdays, it started out with a special breakfast. Jocelyn chose French Toast for hers.

Jocelyn got some new jammies. . .

some crayons for church time. . .

jewlery. . .

a new sleeping bag. . .

and best of all . . .

Princess Clothes!
It was an exciting day. Jocelyn also chose Ice Cream Cake for her birthday. Yes, Aunt Vae, she really did the excited hands thing for this.

Now the birthdays are done, but we are still awaiting the baby’s arrival whose birthday will be in late July!

The birthday season continues here in the Makri home with Natalie having turned two last weekend. Her day started off a little bit on the grumpy side.

That changed though, especially when it was time for cake and presents. But before that we ate a special birthday dinner–London Broil (not sure the kids were too excited about it).

Natalie enjoyed her corn on the cob.

Then it was strawberry shortcake time. She joined in with us while we sang happy birthday to her.

Then came the best part–PRESENTS!

Natalie oooed and ahhed over her presents.

Her favorite was the toy doll. She really enjoys being a little mommy to her baby.

We had Pastor and Mrs. Janke over to share in the fun.

We think she had a good time. Stay tuned for the next one in just a few days.
